Batman: No Man's Land by Greg Rucka

No Man’s Land is the first novelization I’ve ever read of a comic or film. I didn’t expect something good. In that regard, I was very pleased by the book. I think this would be a great read for anyone who is a fan of Batman. There was a lot to like.

The only negative for me was the use of Oracle’s journal entries. All the entries were addressed to Commissioner Gordon; they were written as if Oracle was conversing with him. It made for awkward reading. The “you did this, and then you did that…” style of writing doesn’t work for me. Had they actually been standard journal entries written to no one in particular, I would have rated the book significantly higher.
