Countdown by Mira Grant
This was the best zombie origin story I’ve ever read. I like Mira Grant’s writing style, at least as it pertains to her Newsflesh world (I’ve not read any of her other work). Countdown is the story of the original infestation, the tale of how the world we know ceased to exist and the era of zombies came to be. If you like zombies or just apocalyptic work, you’ll probably enjoy Countdown.
